Baker Hughes: Overall US rig count unchanged, but oil rigs up 2

The overall US rig count failed to record an increase this week for
the second time in 3 weeks as oil-directed rigs edged up. The drop in
activity comes just a few days after the US Energy Information
Administration slightly lowered its crude oil production forecast for
2018 given the recent decline in crude prices.

ConocoPhillips official plans for Barossa development

Official proposals for the ConocoPhillips-led consortium’s Barossa
and Caldita natural gas fields’ development in the offshore Bonaparte
basin 300 km north of Darwin in the eastern Timor Sea have been made
public by the Australian National Offshore Petroleum Safety &
Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA).

Halcon Resources Corp., Houston, has agreed to sell its operated oil and gas properties in the Williston basin to Bruin E&P Partners LLC, a Houston portfolio company of private equity firm ArcLight Capital Partners LLC, for $1.4 billion. The move solidifies Halcon as a Delaware basin-focused firm.
